PP 5.62: email all members - error 500

PP 5.62: email all members - error 500

Hi

I just moved the sever with this PP 562 installation. Everything seems o.k. Now I just wanted to send an e-mail to all users, that the gallery is online again. (2600 users).

When I send that mail to all users, the first minute or so it went fine as usual and some of my dummy addresses which ar in the bulk of all users got already the mail.

But after a minute or, so. an Error 500 appeared in ACP.

1. What does this error 500 means in this situation?

2. Did all my users get now the e-mail or not?

Thanks in advance

Error 500 is a generic email and probally means your server timed out which stopped PHP.

I would suggest at the top of your pp-inc.php you place something like this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Line 16, 17 and 18 say:
error_reporting (E_ALL ^ E_NOTICE);
define('PP_SCRIPT', 'PP_Pro');
ini_set("memory_limit", "72M");

You would need to get a more definative error message from your server error logs.

error 500 is the most generic server message there is it can mean so many things.
