MemberAlbums: subcategory?

What does the option "Assign as a subcategory?" actually mean or do?

I would rather that the members do not have access to that list of categories i created. Is it just a matter of disabling the upload?

That means if you set that to yes they can assign their albums as a subcategory of any of your cats they have permission to view instead of their albums only appearing in the members gallery
