Latest Category First - Default

My event pics every weekend have their own category. However, when i add a new category it goes to the next hightest number by default... and changing it to "1" is annoying because i usually end up with 2 categories with a "1"....

Is there a way to sort by most recent category by default in a sub-category?

You set your category sort in Admin => Edit Categories otherwise it will sort by the default ASC sort

ok... [Sort Subcats] will let me sort subcats... and go against the default... but how do i set the default?

I want each additional subcategory to be the latest and start at position #1... Right now i have 30 Subcats and it can reach 52... doing a weekly sort and changing the numbers can get annoying....

The categories are sorted by the sort you set in subcats and main edit cat page. You see the sorts right there all you need to do is sort them

ok... maybe i am having a brain cramp... can you show me the menu that i need to go to see what you are referring to?

I understand that you can sort pics in a category (not what i want) and you can also click [SORT SUBCAT] and have the following menu option appear...

This is what i want but i don't wanna do it every time... the next category should just appear as the next one in the list when i am viewing the index of a subcat as a user

The main cats the order is as you see and you want to change it you change the order boxes and for subcats you need to drill down to the subcats and change those order boxes

Thats how the program works
