Allow user to upload upto 100MB ??

Hi,
I want to let my users upload up to 100MB files. I currently have shared hosting and was told by my host (GoDaddy) that I need a dedicated server to accomplish this. Is it true? Is there other hosting service that will allow 100MB uploads without the need of a dedicated server?

You can only do this on a virtual dedicated server or dedicated server

Basically you need to have the ability to configure your PHP the way you want it and you can not do this on a shared server
