Menubar not showing on homepage

My menubar template is not showing on the homepage. In order to fix this, I threw the code seen from a page where the menubar appears into the header so that it at least displays on the homepage, but now it shows twice on every other page (1 for the correct showing, and one for my header addition).

How or where do I look to find how to get the menubar to display on the home page, or now that I can get it in the header, how do I disable it on the other pages?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I would ensure you upload clean unmodified files

If you have hacked files you need to upload clean files

Just reupload all the files except your config files

Will this keep the photos and hierarchy of folders in place?

This has nothing to do with your data directory or database
