User Registration gets lost

Hello,

I set up a PhotoPost Gallery with a PhpBB Board.

Next I build Html-Headers in PhotoPost and PhBB with Linkbuttons to the Gallery and the Board.

If a User is "logged in" the Gallery and hits the "Board" Button in the Header the "logged in" Status gets somewhere lost and is not sent to the Board.
The User is NOT automaticly logged into the Board. In the other Direction it`s the same Problem.

If a User is logged into the Gallery and opens a new Browser-Window and he types the Board-URL manually, he is automaticly logged into the Board. Strange ?!

Database is for both Systems the same. Registration of New Users works fine.

I think theres some Referrer or else missing to Communicate the "logged in" Status between the Gallery and the Board ?!

Someone told me I am supposed to check php Variables. I`ve almost no Skills at php. Very Detailed Answers would help me in this Case.

At least my Question is:
How do I manage to switch between Gallery and Board without the loss of "Logged Status" ??

I would be pleased to recieve simple Answers.
By the Way, my Php Skills are as poor as my English.

Michael

Not really anything to do with php variables.

You need to set your cookies the same in the board and the gallery so in both their respective admin sections under the cookie section make sure you set the following replacing .domain.com with your true domain name

cookie path /

cookie prefix phpbb2mysql

cookie domain .domain.com

Note the . before your domain name as that makes the cookie readable across your entire domain which is what you want.
