PP 5.62: Upload images within a posting

PP 5.62: Upload images within a posting - stand alone version

Hi

many users are asking me often how to upload an image within a posting under an already uploaded photo.

Often they want to discuss the way how they improved photos in Photoshop and want to show the different results within the same thread, so it is easier to compare.

Since Photopost is using UBB code, there must be a way to easy integrate images within a posting. But how?

Is ther a way to add UBB code to the pop-up window? If yes, in which file do I find the UBB code shown in PP?

Is it possible to install a "button" so if a user clicks on it, he can upload a photo from his desktop within a posting?

Thanks in advance

ubbcode is a forum thing. You can try using the ubbcode underneath the photo as a test but as far as anything else you want here it is not a feature in the program. Feel free to post suggestions in the suggestions forum and code mod assistance questions in the mod corner which falls outside product support

o.k., but in which file is the code for the pop-up window (the content of the pop-up window)?

This pop-up window is in the standard install of PP, so it must be somewhere or do I miss here something?

There is no upload in a post. you can use ubbcode in the comments and you follow the standard ubbcode. Try copying and pasting a ubbcode link into a comment and see what happens

See the screenshots below.

There is a text link at the left hand of each textbox for UBB code. When I click on that text-link, a pop-up window with the UBB code appears.

I am looking for a way to add text to this pop-up content. But for this I need to know where the content of that text box is written (in which file of PP 5.62)

Have you tried using this?

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Hi

I found the file:

.../help/ubbcode.php

In this file all the text that is displayed within the UBB pop-up window is stored.

Now I can add more into it and will try whether the users will easier understand how to insert at least a link to an image...

I added now the UBB code for inserting an image:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I added 2 points within the bracket because otherwise it does not display the code. I think you had the same problem

Now my users at least see what the code looks like and they can try to use it. With this code, the image of the user, is still stored on his own website, but it appears immediately within the posting.

So this is not the ideal solution, but as long as PP does not offer a real image upload function within user's comments, this is a good compromise...
