moderate photos but not comments how ?

hey..

how do I set it so comments don't require moderation but photos do.. ? I know there is a "require moderation" in usergroup settings but that enable or disables it for both comments and photos...

thanks

There is no way to do this without code hacking. If you have moderation set to yes then both photos and comments are moderated

has anyone done this yet? - would be far better to split both up.

Got to give this one a bump.

I've moved over from vBGallery and assumed that this would be a given. I think it's going to cause quite a few problems on our site if we have to moderate eveyone's comments. It'll wreck fluid discussions about images. On the other hand, we have to moderate uploads. :(

As stated moderation is a constant. If you elect to moderate a usergroups postings they are moderated.

Could you please move this to \'suggestions\' for us Chuck.

We\'ve never had to moderate posts in vbgallery, and the members are allowed to post unmoderated in our vbulletin forum, so at the moment we\'re just hitting \'Approve all comments\' every 10/20 minutes

Until the moderation of comments and images is split, is it possible to automate moderation of the current posts with a cron or something similar that will do the same as \'Approve all comments\' automatically

Thanks

Just found the setting in Admin > Show Photo Options > Display Unapproved Options, which should sort out most of the problem

yeah you can show unmoderated comments. Just whenever your in admin go through time to time and approve them.
