Watermarking Issues

Hi,

I want to watermark "not permanent" all the gallery photos.

Pl. help to set the correct setting so that even by accident I don't want to watermark them "permanently".

I repeat what I want is "non-permanent watermarking" on the images.

Setting:
======

In All Options > Watermark Options > Enable watermarking of photos with overlay image?

Yes or No

===============

IN Image Protection System Options
--------------------------------------------------
Enable on-the-fly image protection
This option uses the watermark.php script to serve images

Yes or No

===============

IN Image Protection System Options
--------------------------------------------------

When using on-the-fly image generation, do you want to overlay the watermark image?
You can use this feature for on-the-fly watermarks in combination with the on-the-fly image generation.

Yes or No

===============

Thanks

That is correct those options set to yes and just make sure in watermark options in admin you have watermark image set to NO cause thats for permanent watermarking. Also realize if your using on the fly watermarks the watermark you need to enter the true server path where asked and it has to be a png image

Sorry Chuck, the more I have tried to make the things clear, the more complex it became. Pl. simply "refer" to the settings with location (like I did) and the "option" to select i.e. Yes or No.

You are saying:

Quote:
That is correct those options set to yes
Now which one, all the three set to Yes or Just one or Two

Quote:
in admin you have watermark image set to NO
In admin, where pl. refer the path and setting string also.

Actually since you know all this so it may sounds easy or very easy to you for for the new users like us these setting do matters a lot.

Pl. tell me the complete setting with option selected for "non-permanent watermarking" once again.

Thanks

Image Protection Options not watermark options

Fill out path and turn these on

Enable on-the-fly image protection
This option uses the watermark.php script to serve images

When using on-the-fly image generation, do you want to overlay the watermark image?
You can use this feature for on-the-fly watermarks in combination with the on-the-fly image generation.

Full server path to watermark overlay image.

??? All of three ???

I repeat what I want is "non-permanent watermarking" on the images.

and yea like the way you asked:

Quote:

If the "overlay" means placing the watermark image above the picture (non-permanent), yes thats what I want.

I request once again to tell me the Yes/No settings required in the following three settings for "non-permanent watermarking".

Setting:
======

1.

In All Options > Watermark Options > Enable watermarking of photos with overlay image?

Yes or No

===============

2.

IN Image Protection System Options
--------------------------------------------------
Enable on-the-fly image protection
This option uses the watermark.php script to serve images

Yes or No

===============

3.

IN Image Protection System Options
--------------------------------------------------

When using on-the-fly image generation, do you want to overlay the watermark image?
You can use this feature for on-the-fly watermarks in combination with the on-the-fly image generation.

Yes or No

You need to turn on the options I have stated in my last post. I posted the exact ones to turn on.

You do not fill out anything in watermark options. Fill out the ones in Image Protection that I have posted
