| Uploaded video shows "QuickTime Video"
When one uploads a .mov file clip, the thumbnail shows in red letters: QuickTime Video.
That is like uploading a jpeg and rather than the image, it shows a red "Jpeg Image"
How do I get the thumbnail of the video file to show a thumbnail like a QuickTime Window or at least the open frame of the video?

You need to turn on the option in showphoto options in admin to embed video inline

Or, if you don't want to do that, upload a thumbnail separately and assign it to the video.

The latter worked, but it is too much work for the average member.
Chuck, in those settings the only thing I see close is "Use embedded multimedia" and I already had that set to yes, so where is the one you're talking about?

Correct use embedded media is correct
We play most of the normal multimedia files. If it was a true .mov file it will be played by the quicktime player embedded in the page

I don't get it, it was a .mov file, but it still didn't show a screen other than the red quicktime file graphic.
On some sites I see a graphic that is the video itself within the quicktime player window which lets everyone know it is a clickable video.
That is what I'm after, not making a screen cap, and uploading a thumbnail of that over the video file.

It must not have been a mov file. If it was the player would load if you have embed media on. here is the code right on showphoto.php Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Chuck, I believe it is an actual thumb of the video that Finster wants, not the generic mm-qt.gif

We do not process thumbnails from video's. You can upload a thumbnail you wish to represent the video but as far as our program all we do is upload a video no servers I know of have the mmpeg software installed yet to allow multimedia manipulation hense that is not part of our software as of yet.
