Remove part of the title on upload

When i resize a picture that i am wanting to add to pp, the resizer renames the picture by adding either (small) (large) or (medium) to the end of the original title, now if i am uploading quite a number of pictures to the gallery it can take a while to edit the titles. Is there a way that i can have these removed when uploading?

Example: The Longest Day (Large) i would like the picture title just to show The Longest Day

Thanks...

You would need to enter a title for the photo when you upload it otherwise the application uses the filename. Our application does not put any extentions on files at all. The files are stored in their own respective thumbs medium directories. You sure you are not referring to another application?

I believe Teepeg is referring to the Windows XP resizer. An easy way round the problem would be to copy all the pics to another folder (assuming you want to keep the originals), then use the re-sizer in that folder with the "re-size" originals option ticked. Large, medium and small will not then be appended.

No, i am uploading using the original titles. The resizer i use adds the (small) (medium) or (large) to the picture title. What i am asking is, is there anything i could change in the templates that would remove the these bracketed words when i upload them. So somewhere in one of the templates i could have a code to delete any of these 3 words .(small) (medium) or (large) that has been added to the end of the pictures title.

Thats correct, and thank you for the tip as that will work fine.

I do not know what your referring to in windows xp resizer or even how that works never used it personally.

This is the Photopost software support forum so I was trying to answer this as if it was logically a Photopost software question.

From the software perspective the logical question would be for you to type a title in the title box when uploading. We only show the filename as a title when viewing a photo with no title.

It was or is a Photopost software question? But i don't believe that you can understand what it is that i am asking what can be done. You know how the underscore can be added to the title, well it is sort of along this line.

From a support perspective I answered the question. You would put a title on your photo when uploading.

You asking a mod question really not a support question. You can try this in pp-inc.php. Any further discussion on this you can ask in the mod forums. I will not support this edit. Try adding this in bold
