Upload Problems

For some unknown reason several users are starting to report errors.

Nothing has changed to cause this (that I am aware of).

Unable to move file [/tmp/phpdyIJLC] [/home/public_html/images/uploads/7081/3-14-07_009.jpg]

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/tmp/php8C22hG) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/public_html/images/image-inc.php on line 48

Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/php8C22hG' to '/home/public_html/images/uploads/3148/SHPX3265.jpg' in /home/public_html/images/image-inc.php on line 48

Help is appreciated.

Hello

Your uploads directories at every level needs to be set to 777 CHMOD

Pirate45 March 20th, 2007 07:44 AM

Well, I think they have been Chuck. Nothing has changed in that regard.

Chuck S March 20th, 2007 07:45 AM

I am merely responding to the errors you have posted. Either safe mode has been turned on the server or your permissions on the uploads/3148 directory are not 777

which is it?

Pirate45 March 20th, 2007 09:20 AM

I'll check it out Chuck.

Pirate45 March 21st, 2007 07:56 AM

I checked and 3148 is 777. Safe mode? I have no idea about that but I also have the Classifieds software Chuck and some users are reporting the same error.

One user said it cleared up in 10 minutes so I don't know.

You can check out your php settings in admin phpinfo

Pirate45 March 23rd, 2007 08:55 AM

Chuck,

Safe Mode is (was) not on so that would not be the cause. Permissions also appear to be correct.

Are there any other possibilities?

Chuck S March 23rd, 2007 10:11 AM

If safe mode is not on and your telling me permissions are 777 on the uploads and uploads 7081 directory no I have no other ideas as that server message is an absolute error. It means permissions are incorrect
.

Have you tried making sure uploads is 777 and deleting all directories under there? Does that directory exist?

Code:

Chuck,

Yes, I have checked those permissions and they are 777.

This problem is growing in frequency and my users are growing impatient over it.

If you would like to take a look, I can PM you details.

Chuck S April 7th, 2007 06:37 PM

Your permissions are not corrupt or safe mode has been turned on the server which is it here?

You can send us details but the issue can only be one of those two things to my knowledge

Pirate45 April 9th, 2007 05:04 AM

Chuck,

I will send you the information. How should I do that?

Charlie
