Watermark issue

I am trying to get on the fly watermarking to work. I created a png, uploaded it an set on the fly to on and put the full server path to the watermark and see nothing on the photos. I read that it uses gd2 for on the fly, does that mean I have to set the application to use gd2 rather than imagemagick?

Make sure your server path is correct and set the option to show the overlay on the photos which is right next to the option to use on the fly script

Will this put the watermark on the images for good? I am not looking to do that if possible

No the overlay is not permanent. You only do permanent watermarking when you turn that on in your watermark options
