| can someone help with this pls
can any one help with this pls:
1) I intergrated pp with the forum, works fine but when people leave comments under the photos, the cells tend to display in a dark colour, so its unreadable, unless you hover the cursor over. When I removed the intergration option, it works fine...so what do I need to adjust or change for the cells not to show dark?
2) I was attempting to edit and alter the templates and this messaged popped up: Unable to write changes, permissions on indexstats.tmpl are not set properly.
bit unclearly as to that, is that the permissions of the template folder ? or is it a setting within the admin panel in pp?
3) some reasons the thumbnails and pictures show distortion in colour iether darker or to light after uploads. when you click the images they appear fine....how do I solve this ?

This all depends on your style your integrating with and most likely is your issue

Your tmpl files need to be set to 666 permissions per the install instructions if you want to write to them

You need to post a url to your site more than likely this is an issue with the image processor your specifying to use.

Thanks for replying
1) with the intergration issue and dark cells, is their a way round it, eg can i alter anything in pp so the cells show normal?
2) The template issue, I tried to edit a template in the admin panel in pp, and when I made the changes and clicked "save" it i bought up the error that I previously posted. I'll adjust/check the permissions to see if that was the issue.
3) Would it be possible for me to email or pm the url to show distorted pictures? ( I would prefer to keep that private from the public forum )the pictures show clearly when you click on them. the only time they show distorted is as thumbnails. Pictures them selfs stay in tact and in good quality during upload, just viewing them becomes a issue.
I read a similar post on here with that issue, but their was no reply since the user didnt reply back.
Over all the instal and usage is fine, just these few minor hicups.
Thanks for the help

You did not send an admin login for us to look further but if your pictures are distorted it looks to me like your selecting gd2 or gd1 and your server has the opposite. Make sure you select the proper image processor and you should be fine

sorry about that, totally slipped my mind about the albums being closed of etc..ive sent the details through.
3 questions:
1)its selected to gd1 curently, (from what I remeber filling in the settings) if the processor is the case, how do I adjust it and find out which one the server is running on to make it right?
2) I adjusted the permissions to the template directory as you suggested to 666 and it still says I do not have permission to write to file.
3) if you could have a look at the posted comments (under the photos) to see the dark cells for yourself.
Thanks for taking the time to look into this Chuck, theirs no rush with this (I can see you get swamped on here), its just minor issue comapred to others, everything works fine
as it is for the members, just find it all new to get to grips with at the mo.

You would set the processor to the correct one your server has under admin => global options
2) I adjusted the permissions to the template directory as you suggested to 666 and it still says I do not have permission to write to file.
You need to set the template files in the vb3enhanced folder under the templates directory to 666
3) if you could have a look at the posted comments (under the photos) to see the dark cells for yourself.
edit your showphoto template and find this Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
change it to this Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

You do not set the permissions on those directories to 666. They should be 755. It is the .tmpl files in the vb3enhanced folder that needs to be 666 on each file
