Question Cannot Upload Photos - image-inc.php error

I'm getting an error when I attempt to upload photos. This is the error I get returned after I hit the upload photos:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
This is what is shown on the middle of that same screen:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Here's what my line #46 reads in image-inc.php:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Your uploads directory must be set to 777 at every level for uploads to work. Same goes for your data directory also.

Have you checked to see if maybe your host turned on safe mode which is a NO NO?

Also check your phpinfo file to see if your server paths have changed and if so update them in your global options and storage options. The error is a permissions one saying the file can not be wrote to your uploads/4 directory which means that directory is not 777 the path is wrong or safe mode is on it has to be one of those 3 I would think here.

Busted!!

Your pinpoint on 777 got me....argh! I did overlook folder 4 as it was set to 755. Changed it to 777 and looks like I'm back in business. Appears this was only happening to me with the uploads not going through. I have no idea how that folder changed permissions.....

Also, going through the subfolders under uploads...I do see some files in the folders. Not many and certainly not all of the folders. Should I go ahead and delete any files within these folders? It would seem to me that any files inside of any subfolders under uploads may cause some issues for those members wanting to upload future photos....?
