How to install EXIF feature?

Hi,

I have seen in others threads that I need to install Jhead in my ISP server in order to use the EXIF feature on my Photopost gallery.

Does it exist a thread that explains clearly how to install it on my ISP server?

Thanks in advance.

Conde.

Those are the instructions right from the programs developer. Basically it is merely uploaded the file and via SSH on your server typing a MAKE command to build the tool and then link to it in Photopost

This is the problem most people dont understand. To compile software you must shell into your server. Therefore if you dont have ssh access you can not compile it but as I stated above if you can it is as simple as typing MAKE

The jhead install instructions state this clearly on their site

Nope this is why I have repeatedly said you can only install jhead if you have SSH access to your server so you may want to contact your host

This is what SSH is

my Exif feature is running on my Photopost PRO!

I have been lucky, because in my situation it was easy:

I was reading in my ISP forum, that jhead is installed at "/usr/local/bin". In my Photopost admin--> path to jhead---> /usr/local/bin/jhead and that's all!

So I have another question to Chuck: is it possible to keep always open the exif box when the user is seeing the picture??

Thanks.
