moved servers and now screen is blank

I recently moved servers kept the same url and did a backup of photopost and the database. I put everything back the way it was at the last host that i had, database was put in with the same userid and PW for the database. When i go to the site it brings up a blank screen.

thanks. fixed the blank page problem but now i got this error. I cannot connect to the PhotoPost database. [$php_errormsg]

looked at my config file and everything that i saw was right. It had the right $host="mysql"; $database="photopost"; $mysql_user="******";
$mysql_password="*******"; $host_bb="mysql"; $pp_db_prefix = "pp_";

everything that i see is correct regarding my database. any help would be appreciated.

If you get that error then the mysql information to connect to that database on the new server can not be correct so I suggest you recheck all this.

Photopost database seems to be fine however it is not clear what version of MySQL was used when it was created. You have to contact your software vendor for support of 3rd party software. Please make sure all version requirements have been met.
i asked my hosting to look at the database and they couldn't find anything wrong. any other idea on how to fix this? I'm pretty sure everything in the config files are correct

I suggest you look at the variables you are entering and make sure the mysql host username password and database name are correct to access mysql on this new server. It does not appear these are correct as they are entered now. Sorry not any other answer I can give you here since the error you post is absolute. Mysql can not be connected to with the information your providing the script.
