Save and display medium and large images?

Save and display medium and large images?

what exactly is the purpose of this?

i'm trying to tweak my gallery of 35,000 photos...

can't fiugure out iof this is needed or not...

finally getting around to learning all of this detailed info...

also, what should i put in this box?

Trigger medium graphic height and width
An uploaded larger than this will create a medium image of this size.

these options are extremely confusing...
please help me figure this out in laymen terms...

thanks!

can you just display one size instead of two?

meaing one thumbnail and one larger size of the picture?

instead of 3 version...
thumb, medium and large...

in most caes the medium and large photos are about the same size, meaning everyone is clicking on them, using twice the bandwidth they need to, for the same picture... doesn't seem economical or logical, to me...

any feedback on this?

thanks!

is there a way to save the original photos being uploaded, in thier original condition, prior to watermarking, and saving them in a seperate directory somewhere?

No permanent watermarking destroys the original. You can switch to the overlay watermarking but you have a downside as I noted in your other post since you already have done permanent watermarking

To only have a thumb and large picture for your new photos going forward from now simple set your medium threshold to 0

You can not really through the program. If you make a change it is only for new uploads. This will not get rid of mediums on old photos
