Conditional for Showgallery ?

Is there a conditional i can put in the showgallery.php page.

For example if there are no images uploaded i want to put a link so the user/unregistered can upload a picture if he or she has permission...

there is currently one but its embedded into the menubar... im looking to move it where the users can see it more clearly...

Well in showgallery template you need to decide where to put it but say maybe this
