PP 5.62: Show category name fo all, but acces only for specific usergroup

PP 5.62

I want to show the name of a category on the index page. But only a specific usergroup shall have access to this category, neither all visitors nor all registered users.

How do I do this?

Just set say admins mods and this specific usergroup able to see this category ;) in edit categories the permissions part for this one category

I missed somehow your posting here.

This is not what I am looking for. I want that all visitors see the category name, but not the content of the category.

If I use the settings as you described, visitors would not be able to see the name of the category at all and therefore would not know that this category exist.

I need the display of the category name as a teaser to motivate visitors to upgrade to a higher userlevel with which they then can see the content of the category.

If you set guests to view the category then in registration options set them to have to be registered to view photos

Can I do this also with specific usergroups? I.e. only Gold level is allowed to see the content, all others are only allowed to see the name of the category?

No you can only set which groups can view the category, There is no teaser aspect to the product
