thumbnails blur for not registered members

Is there any easy way to mod photopost gallery the way that unregistered members or certain groups cant see sharp images?

Additionally registered users can see thumbnails but large images are blur again...

They are using a customized Photopost you might want to ask them if they care to share how they did that.
