We have an option to limit guests from large sized images; but not to thumbnails only.

I only want them to see thumnails, but not large images (Originals). I take it that's in the settings and not usergroup permissions?

Yes, in the Show Photo are I believe; but "medium" images can still be viewed.

I've also been looking for a wait to limit images to thumbnails only for guest or certain usergroups. Does anyone know how this can be done?
Thank you.

It is only possible with guests turn this option to yes in Admin => Registration Options.
Require users to be registered to view images?

Thanks Chuck... but would be good if PhotoPost can include better "usergroup" type viewing permissions in future upgrades. The current options are rather simplistic and very limited.
Thank you.

Hi
I am also looking for this kind of feature. But the described way above (setting in ACP) has a big downside:
If a user sends a link to friends (who are not interested in a photo community, but onl in his photos) to his own member gallery within photopost, his friends are forced to register in the gallery to be able to see the images.
As a consequence, the user will go away to use another photo portal that has not this forcement to register.
So I am looking desperately for a hack or an option, to
1. seperate this setting in ACP for categories on one side and member galleries on the other side and/ or
2. a per category setting for viewing only thumbnails if you are not registered, but no medium or large size photos, ideally combined with a setting on a per usergroup basis for categories only paying members shall be able to see in big sizes.
How can I do this? I would be willing to pay for this

Yes but that is where users discuss with other users modifications to the code. |

Merry Christmas! | this works ok for guests but what about spiders ? can spiders still browse images and index them ? cause the point is to force people to register but to also allow spiders to browse all pages and index them.
a great thing whould be to have a setting like "how many images are guests allowed to view before prompt to register" where the admin sets a X number of images. and after guest sees the images he will have to register. a cookie will do the job for this to work and spiders will be excluded since they dont use cookies
