Watermark Problems with GIF Images - GD2

Since I've been having some troubles with image uploads using ImageMajick, I tried GD2. Everything seems to be working for both JPGs and GIFs except that the watermark is not showing up on the GIF images. The .png watermark is working fine on the JPG images. Any ideas?

Are you talking about on the fly watermarks or perm watermarks?

Actually, it doesn't matter; watermarking can only be done on JPGs and not on GIFs.
