Moving the Database

Here is the situation. Currently PhotoPost Pro version 3.1.1 is running in the same database as my Vbulletin version 2.2.9. I would like to separate the databases.

I've copied all of the PhotoPost tables into a new database and gave that database the same user and therefore the same permissions as the original database. I've re-configured the config-inc.php file so that $database="the new database";. I left $database_bb="the forum database";.

When I go to the PhotoPost main page the headers and footers look ok but otherwise I get this error:
Quote:
MySQL error reported!
Query:

Result: Query was empty

Database handle: Resource id #8
I'm new at this. What am I doing wrong? Could it be how I copied the database? I exported the tables and then imported them into the new database. Is there any settings in the import / export process that I need to be carful of? Thanks.

Jake

I can not say what your doing wrong cause nothing is telling me where your error lies? Is this a vbulletin error or Photopost one. See what I mean there is nothing in that error report to tell me. Turn of your vb integration and see if it loads.

This is an older version of PP (3.1.1). There is not a Config-Int.php file. Where is the setting for turning off integration? Is it in the database or one of the php files? Thanks.

Turning off integration in header-inc.php

Your error must be in whatever your doing

My advise is to keep things where they work and then upgrade to the latest then try separating the databases

Yeah, that sounds wise. Thanks Chuck.

It just bothers me that I can't do it. I'm still learning about Mysql databases and how they work - interesting stuff.
