| statistics not updating on index page
hey, I was just wondering how this problem can be fixed. I noticed it a few days ago. The statistics at the bottom (how my photopost index page is configured) does not seem to be updating with the correct number of users, photos, comments, views, etc. And the "users browsing the gallery" seem to be locked with the same users fixed.
Any idea on how this can be fixed?

We do not see any issue with this so please post a url and test user login
Also try setting your cache to OFF in global options to see if this works for you

Hello. I have exactly the same problem as bongwater had (did a search before submitting my question).
My PhotoPost installation is integrated with vBulletin. I first noticed this problem two weeks ago; however, the stats on the main Potophost page "caught up" with the actual stats (shown on the main forum page) shortly thereafter. But now the Photopost stats have been stalled for two days on the index page (subsequent pages are updating).
My URL is in my profile.
Test account.

You can turn off your category cache and see if that assists you.

Hi. I'd already tried that in Globals per your advice to the previous poster...And no go. Stats remain "stuck."

the login you provided only has a 30kb diskspace we cant upload a photo to see if your stats update. Nothing is gonna update unless something changes.

Hi. I did that for security reasons since support PMs ( e.g., admin log-in details) are discouraged. Upload size now increased to 1 MB. Please keep in mind, though, that none of the statistics (including non-upload ones such as number of total registrants) are being updated on the Photopost index page.
Thanks.

Chuck--You just gave me the answer, although an unexpected one. I did not realize that stat count was upload-dependent, particularly since the stats are in fact updated sans upload on every Photopost page except the index page.
Can you confirm this, as I just uploaded a photo and the Photopost main index page is now up to date with both the forum and other Photopost pages?
Thanks.

Hmm..Previous post premature on my part. Photopost index page did not update even after upload (I was looking at an interior Photopost page).

Ok...That gave me a clue. Now I can confirm that the Photopost index page has indeed updated.
Thanks again.

Yes those stats are our program so a photo has to be uploaded or commented on or a user register on your forum.

What I did was turn off the category cache, upload a photo, then turn the category cache on again, and stats were updated. I don't know why, as there's no obvious (to me, anyway) logic to that, but it "worked."

Whoops. Spoke too soon. Please note that the index page of Photopost once again does not reflect the up-to-date statistics found on either the index page of vBulletin or the interior pages of Photopost.
There must be a clear fix for this.
Thanks!

Turn off your category cache and watch it and see if that helps you.

I think we can eliminate the category cache as a culprit. Whether it's off or on, the stats on the Photopost index page do not update--until I hit "Upload," even when I'm not uploading anything. Just by clicking on that button, all the stats get updated.
There's programming logic in there somewhere, but I'm afraid I'm not versed enough in php to have figured it out by now.

Problem continues.
To recap: Problem: None of the statistics on the index page of Photopost update when they should (e.g., when a photo is uploaded, when a new user registers).
1. The Photopost script is integrated with vBulletin.
2. This problem first appeared approximately two weeks after installation.
3. The problem occurs whether the category cache is on or off.
4. Statistics on every other page (i.e., every page except the index page) update correctly.
5. Other than issues related directly to vBulletin integration, the Photopost installation has not been modified in any way.
As this malfunction is apparently not affecting the proper operation of Photopost, I'm not overly concerned; however, I would obviously like to solve this problem as it is in fact a problem.
Thanks.

You still have your category cache on dont you
removed
It shows the right stats except 2 new users which tells me you have the cache on.

Yes, I did have it on, but please see item #3 in my previous post (not a matter of "still" having it on so much as happen to have it on at that moment).
It is turned off again and will remain so.

Also: I would appreciate your immediately striking my URL from public view, as I've already noted it's in my profile.
Thanks.

Right what I am saying is none of your gallery stats have updated and this does appear a cache issue which is why I had noted turn it off and leave it off. Then we can let things update and ride and see where we are. This is not a major issue so lets see what happens with it off.
