| Lightbox integration into PhotoPost Pro
Someone posted this in the vBgallery suggestions and I'd love this in PhotoPost Pro. The example site is very cool.
can we please get one of these ( lightbox or thickbox) implemented

Photopost and Classifieds already use a java box to show a full size Photopost outside the same page and have for quite a while
Use popup window for BIG images?
If you want BIG photos to appear using a popup window, set to yes

If you want BIG photos to appear using a popup window, set to yes | it's NOT the same! It doesn't open in a new window, it opens in a new top layer of the same window dimming the background. That's why it's cool. What isn't cool is opening up the picture in a new window...

Ron, I'm with you on this.... I have LightBox integrated with my vBGarage and I love it along with many of my members.
Chuck, can you help us along in getting this integrated with PhotoPost and Classifieds?

Once products go into betas then the developers look at ideas for including functionality such as this.
If this is something you want to do before any consideration from the companies part on something like this the instructions on that page seem pretty straight forward for you to hack it

I like lightbox, but it's not something we can include in our product. A mod would probably work and since we call javascript to launch a new window for big images (as an option), I wouldn't be surprised if that one line of javascript couldn't be modified to call lightbox instead.
I'll take a look when I have a few spare moments to see if its that simple.

Well, a couple quick edits and this is what I got: http://www.viperalley.com/gallery/sh....php/photo/992
pp-inc.php, line 531 I added the code in bold (watch for paths, you'll need to modify to suit your installation of the lightbox javascript files): Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
and in showphoto.php, I changed line 610: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
And I have the option set to load big images into a popup window.
With the lightbox stuff installed according to the paths above (you'll need to modify to suit your needs) and also some vbulletin header changes (I use the lightbox attachment mod already on my site): Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
it appears to be all that was needed.
You'll notice I tweaked the showphoto code to only use the lightbox if the width is less than 900 and less than 600 in height; thats because a lightbox that is too big is kind of annoying (IMO) and I'd rather open a new window for the superiszed images.

Michael, thank you for taking this into consideration. I know you'd make many of us owners of PhotoPost/Classifieds very happy if you could get this working with either or both products.
Hope you and your family have a great new year.

It would seem there are more than a few versions of lightbox available; I'm running 2.02 it would seem - I have the one from that mod for vBulletin that I linked to. I'm sure Classifieds could be modified almost identically since the code areas I changed are very similiar between products (just showproduct versus showphoto).
Disclaimer: It is what it is, I don't plan to try and support lightbox in any form here; so if it doesn't work for you I don't know that there will be much I can do for you. I got it working on my site and don't have any plans to install other versions of lightbox or any other image popup script.

I just tried this hack and its nothing like This Wjhen i implement it the big image gets pushed to the top left and no watermark appears and although it does open in the same window you have to click the back button to get it to go back.
I am assuming i need to install that other mod to get this to work is that right (the mod for the vbulletin)..

I won't even try to support lightbox scripts; but you will need to have installed the scripts and modified the paths to the scripts in the code I posted accordingly.
I've added as many links to the scripts as I can to the post above to help in your efforts, but the rest is up to you.

Interesting idea about Classifieds would be to use
rel=\"lightbox[classifieds]\"
for each of the image thumbnail links and, according to the lightbox docs, this would enable a PREV and NEXT link on the popup to allow the user to scroll through the images for a product.
In theory anyways.

This is working great thanks again Michael.
I went with Lightbox Plus because it automatically resizes the image to the available size in the browser. With the original Lightbox JS 2.02 I tried, in IE the picture was way to big... it was fine in FF. Nice thing about Lightbox Plus is that it fits on screen, but you can make it original size and click to scroll, nice.... Because of the automatic sizing I made it so, when clicking on the picture, it always shows in Lightbox...
Anyway, thanks again!

For those who have this working....does the watermark still get applied to the large size image when the thumbnail image is clicked and invoked with whatever version of Lightbox you are using?
Thanks.

No, this doesn't use the watermark script.

Michael, I'm working on getting this to work with my gallery...
Are you saying that in showphoto.php you added or edited the existing code on line 610?
I wasn't sure, so I added the code you typed above starting on line 610. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Also, in the headinclude template, where should we put the code you typed? Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
