Another sorting question

These are user comments in relation to sorting;

Help! My album is all screwed up. The photos were in order added, now they seem to be in no order whatsoever. I tried repeatedly to sort them, both at the bottom of the page and in "my albums", where it keeps reverting to the "disorder" called "most active"(??) when I try to sort by "latest", which is how they are sorted.

There are 348 photos in there now, and I hate the thought of having to number each and every one, plus having to assign a number to new ones as I add them. How can I make the "sort by latest" the default option???

When I go to "My albums" and try to "sort photos" the top choice is "most active", I change this to "latest" and it goes right back to "most active" after I hit "submit"

If I number photos, will one be on the last page or the top page? I want the highest number on the top page as it will be the latest added.

What a mess

When I got to "my albums" and sort by "latest" and hit "submit", it immediately returns to the same fruitbasket turnover it acquired the other day. it seems to be hard coded to that particular illogical order.

The album owner really ought to be able to set some sort of default order for his or her use without having to renumber several hundred photos every time one is added.

Any advice for me on this issue?

Ensure you have all the proper version files. In my testing sorting seems to work fine. It all goes to showgallery and they are sorted how I say too.

Proper version files? I am not sure what you mean but I conduct the upgrades carefully and according to the instructions.

Using the sorts as you note the pictures sort fine from what I am seeing hense my suggestion to make sure you have the correct new files
