Upload Problems

I'm having 2 different sets of problems today after over a week of smooth sailing with uploads:

1) Cannot upload JPGs. This was working fine. I'm getting the following error message:
Problem running JPEGTRAN:

"/usr/bin/jpegtran" -copy none /hermes/web05/b667/pow.gmmclain/htdocs/gallery/data/598/FH000011_Resized_.jpg

Error Code: 1
2) GIFs are getting screwed up. THis is the first GIF I've tried in a while, so this problem may not be a recent one. Here's an example:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
The same problem occurred with a 2nd GIF I uploaded as well.

Thanks,
Michael

If you clear jpegtran does your jpg issue go away?

So what changes has your host made to the server? I have never seen a image look like that so what does the original look like?

The first problem has now gone away. For future reference, how do I clear jpegtran? Will this problem occur frequently?

Regarding the GIF problem, I tried a 3rd GIF and here's what it looks like - exact same problem as the first two:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
And here's what the original looks like:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Thanks,
Michael

You can try switching processors in global options see if it does it with the other processor should your server have both. You clear jpegtran in global options to remove it from use.

Seems to be an issue with your servers image processors.

Tried changing from IM to GD2. It corrected the image "scrogging" problem, but uploaded 2 identical images instead of just the one. This happened two times in a row and I gave up. Back to IM with the same GIF image problems. Any ideas on other areas to pursue?

I talked with one of my initial members (ccobbett) and he had uploaded several (8 to 10) images successfully a couple days ago. Then, uploads stopped working. No error messages, but the images failed to make it into the category he had attempted to upload to. He tried 4 or 5 with the same results (i.e. no error message but image never appeared on the site) and eventually gave up.

This is getting very frustrating.

Sorry for the rant, but I really need to establish a solid platform as I will be promoting the site soon and expect lots of usage.
