Question User does not show up on member galleries

What might cause a user that has uploaded a number of photos to not show up on the list of member galleries?

Thanks.

Try Admin => Scan Database => Check here to update your user table last photo field

This should work provided you are using 5.62 and have ran both the 5.5 and 5.6 upgrades before hand.

Chuck,

Check for and create missing thumbnails.
Rebuild all thumbnails.
Rebuild all medium images.
Check here to watermark unwatermarked files.
Check here to recalculate photos/posts numbers and check children.
Check here to rescan photos and save EXIF information.
Check here to scan for duplicate entries for same photo.
Check here to resync photo/comments usernames/update comments counts.

These are the options and I did all those. I am still on 5.6... I need to upgrade.

His album is still not present on the list of member galleries.

I'll do it in the morning and get back with you if the problem still exists.

Thanks.

I have updated and run all of the "scan database" procedures but this new user still does not appear on the list.

I don't know if other users are having this problem or not.

Chuck,

I did that.

In the meantime, the user reported that he uploaded another photo and now he appears.

I'm not sure what happened here so...

But, since the upgrade, and I did run the upgrade script, I am getting loads of e-mail messages with a MySQL error.

Table 'xxxxxx_ri.searchids' doesn't exist

And other similar things.

Where have I gone wrong?

Thank you.

Are you using vb? Your searchids table does not exist. There is a thread on how to add a prefix to your photpost tables in the install forum stickied you can follow that if your vb and photopost are in the same database and then rerun both upgrades noted

Ok Chuck. I must have missed that.

Yes, I use VB.

This thread? If I do this the problem will be solved?

Thank you.

Chuck,

I've been reading that thread and trying to understand it.

My PP is integrated with VB 3.6.4. But, I use a different database.

I'm not sure if I am stating this correctly because it confuses me.

I am using the same members, etc., but it is a different database than the VB one. Does that make sense and do I still need to perform that step?

If your in a different database then dont worry about that thread. The issue then is your upgrades have not been ran cause if they are then the table will exist. Rerun 5.5 and 5.6 upgrades

I re-ran the 5.62 upgrade... I guess that is not what you are telling me to do.

Where can I get the 5.5 and 5.6 versions again?

Chuck,

I found those older versions on my hard drive but you are telling me to backwards-upgrade to 5.5, then 5.6, then 5.62?

Please explain what I need to do. I was sure I had done all of this correctly.

I simply said to make sure you have all the 5.62 files uploaded and run the 5.5 and 5.6 upgrades.

I have done that Chuck and I am having problems. I am having some serious server issues and I have no idea if it is related to this or not.

I'm not sure what to do now.

what do you mean by that response? I dont really know how to assist based on that. Usually if your having server issues your host needs to correct them. if its a Photopost issue I can suggest a course of action.

I know Chuck and I apologize to you my friend. I am not sure what kind of issue it is either. We are having server problems and I am attempting to have them corrected. I am not a technical person but I have hired someone to work on it.

I have PP turned off right now as I never understood how to fix those error problems.

I am just not sure what to do as I did the upgraded properly (I think) and I am not wanting to make you angry with me.

Nah I don't get angry just here to help. If you made sure the upgrades are ran and under the scan database options run the one to update a members last photo option then the member should appear under the members gallery

As far as server issues without knowing what issue your having I can not suggest anything that might help is all.
