5.3 Pics uploaded to MG leads on to others pics
 

(Members Gallery setting - show all users photos)
We usually do not uploaded specifically to Members Gallery, usually posting into designated categories. Recently we have been uploading pics specifically into Member's Gallery.

If a user uploads to Members Gallery ...
Viewing at showphoto ... filmstrip preview shows/leads on to others pics and Previous/Next goes on to others photos.

Is there a way, when viewing a members photos in Member's Gallery NOT to lead on to others pics.

How are you following these photos?

If the cat is passed in the showphoto url this case is followed for the previews

I am not able to replicate this problem again.
Sorry to trouble you.

I may simply have been viewing pics ... showphoto.php?photo=3506&cat=500&ppuser=1234 in Most Recent format which would naturally have others pics following.

dummy me ... but now a happy one :)

Using this setting:
Do you want Members Gallery to show all of a users photos? YES

When viewing all of a users pics at Members gallery, it can stop at first category or when users pics changes to a new category it lead can off into that category including viewing others pics.
The film strip appears to be working but the previous (Photos>) link appears to go wonky.
Still trying to figure this one out.

Seems to work fine with unhacked 5.5 code that I am seeing. As long as ppuser is in the url

I dont see any issue viewing the url you provided either

In the example you gave, the pics are all in the same category so there isn't a problem.
The problem seems to occur when members pics are in different categories.
For example, try the 4th top pic in provided url and you will see someone else's pic in filmstrip.

In the url you provided all pictures are from Carole Meckes or something like that. i even refreshed the thumbnail block many times to make it foul up but it did not

I wasn't aware, before the missus went off to work she had tried a fix from a past version. Sorry about that. She's taken it out now.

Viewing by filmstrip seems to work alright.
Try viewing by prev link (photos > link on right)
Does it take you through 9 pics?

Same thing my friend I hit more ten times it still shuffles the same 9 pictures all by carole meckes

When you say ...' hit more' ... did you mean/ click on 'Photos> ' link? ...which is our swapped around Next/Prev link.
Our filmstrip more(+) appears to work fine
I'll try clearing my cookies etc and see if that changes anything.

Will be uprgading the other galleries hopefully tonight which have better examples which I can test.

There is no condition in the next and prev code to only make it pull photos by one user. It has other specific conditions and thus will lead to others photos

Ah yes, this is an issue we've had in the past, which you've provided solutions which appeared to resolve this.

This issue is more contentious in our galleries for artists who dislike others pics appearing when viewing their pics in Member's Gallery portfolio.

And this problem also crops up when viewing 5.5 Group by Member/Category

Member\'s Gallery to view only one members pics
 

We feel the Member\'s Gallery should only show a users pictures and we have been able to get the next and previous links to stay with one users pics but when we click on the "More" link, the pictures go to other member\'s pictures.

We used the fix in this thread to fix the next and previous links so that they stay with each members pics.

How do we get the more link to stay with one members pics in both the member's gallery and when using group by member?

The easy answer is you do not and there is no tweak I could give you. Userid is not passed on the ajax for that feature.

Is there not a template that I could edit? for the member's gallery?
To take out the "more link" in the member's gallery area?

You can edit showphoto.php I suppose and remove these lines

If I remove those lines suggested, I get blank page when I go to click on a picture in the members gallery.

What really baffles me - is that the more link seemed to work fine in pp5.5
(and the members gallery pictures stayed within each member and did not go on to other user's pics).

What has changed?

This could never work in any version. The ajax code never passes a ppuser variable.

You must not be doing the edit correct here cause if the code block in showphoto now looks like this the more will not appear anywhere but as always this is a code hack and we do not support it or the outcome.
