Send URL of photo to a friend?

Is there an easy way to just send the URL of a particular photo to a friend? I'm aware of the e-card (which is very cool), and the "email gallery link to friend" features, but it seems like there should be an easy way to just "send URL of this photo to a friend." Is this possible? A supported mod maybe?

The ecard is how people usually do this and is the supported feature. Any other way to do it would be a mod and could be discussed in the mod corner
