The default sort order of photos in albums and album index

How do I make the default sort order of the photos uploaded in albums to filename instead of latest. I know about the edit album options but need it to be default for all. For example when uploading photos from an event usually a person would start uploading from file001, file002, and so on. The event would playback backwards since it's set to latest if you understand where i'm getting at.

I would also like to change the default sort order of the personal albums index from user to latest album created.

In admin => edit categories you may set your default sort per category for the photos that reside in that category.

The member galleries category default order is already set to alphabetical but it still displays latest uploaded first. The option where you edit a specific album where you can set default order does what I'm looking for but I want that set for all albums created.

Members Gallery is sorted by user and the last photo is shown

Now when you click the users gallery it will clearly sort by whatever sort you outlay in the default sort for that gallery

I'm referring to the member albums not member galleries. I've setup our photo gallery so when you go to domain.com/photos/index.php it actually goes to /photos/misc.php?action=showalbums (the Personal Albums Index) so people have to create albums if they want others to see their photos. The Personal Albums Index only has 2 sort options for User and Album Name but I would like to set the default order to show the latest album created.

Now when you click on an album it doesn't have the alphabetical sort order unless specified when you edit the specific albums sort order and I want everyones album sort order to be defaulted to alphabetical. Maybe I'm missing something but admin => edit categories => member galleries => default sort order to alphabetical doesn't do anything.

show albums are sorted the same way the members gallery is by username. Albums have no default sort

is there a way to change it to latest though? Our members like to leave comments and if they view by members; it's hard for them to obviously see who uploaded new items in there.

well you can set a sort in an album or category but that only sorts photos when your viewing the album or category.

There is no sort on the show albums script it simply shows albums.
