| When user uploads, Personal gallery is created?
Hello,
I am having troubles with users creating albums. When a user uploads an image , does their image go in to their personal gallery? When I click Member Galleries, none show up, so where are these images at? How can they be accessed once more images come in?
The point of my site is I want members to have their member galleries, upload pictures, and receive comments. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Do users actually have to create an Album, or is it automatically created? http://www.zeldapower.com/fanart
user: pp_test
pass: test123
I already uploaded one picture with that account. There aren't any member galleries showing, even though 4 users have uploaded pictures (i think 4)
Thanks!
EDIT:
I believe the gallery is making a user gallery when someone uploads. For example, when I go to a picture by me, I see Member Galleries > KoSoVaR, or by another user, Member Galleries > Artemis. But why can I not go to Member Galleries and search, or press A and see Artemis, or press K and see KoSoVaR?
So I guess it's just not updating or something? I have no clue, thanks for help if someone can (Chuck :P )

You need to download 5.61 and upload all the files except the config files then you can run the 5.6 and 5.61 upgrades.

Already have 5.61
Pretty sure. I was having a lot of problems with 5.6 and I decided to just do a clean install since I didn't have to much up yet.

you did not rerun the upgrades it looks to create the new fields. If you installed over a present database without deleting the old database it would not correct the issue with 5.6
You can use the scan database tool in admin to rebuild the lastphoto fields in the user table

This looks like a similar problem to the one I mentioned here : Nothing showing up under Personal Galleries category?
I have 5.61 as well, being as I only downloaded the software in the first place in the last couple of weeks; I've used the scan database tool to see if it made a difference, but it hasn't.
Kosovar, were you able to fix the problem on your end?

I have this same problem, I went from 5.6 to 5.61 and ran the upgrade script. All I want is for a user, when he uploads for the picture(s)to go right into his gallery, not the main members gallery. It should automatically create the gallery if his doesn't exist. I've tried every setting I could find to make that happen, but it doesn't...
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Ron

You can not autocreate galleries. If he uploads it to the members gallery it will go there. If he uploads it to a category it is uploaded there. If he selects it to be uploaded to a personal album he has created it will be uploaded there. take note you set up categories and upload permissions per usergroup of what can upload where in edit categories in admin.

Hey Chuck,
I'm still getting this problem. The other admin on the website got his gallery to show on the Member Galleries page, and he doesn't know how. He has his own test user and can't get it to show.
I ran the Scan Database stuff, it didn't work.
I really need to get this working so people can start uploading
Thanks in advance

Are you sure you ran both the 5.6 and 5.61 upgrades. This would surely show members in the members gallery.

Okay now I'm back to the drawing board.. http://www.zeldapower.com/fanart
I have all my settings correct (license #, cookie prefix (pretty sure), and domain (.zeldapower.com)) in pp_settings
Users don't show up registered and templates aren't loading or anything.. blah

what have you done? What did you try to do a new install? Thats what that looks like to me. The issue you reported only requires you to upload 5.62 besides the config files and run the 5.5 and 5.6 upgrade scripts.

I deleted the whole folder, uploaded the 5.62 zip file and unzipped it in the /fanart folder
Now I'm getting this.. and I don't know why

You know I am not going to call you retarded
The reason product support exists is because not everyone is going to understand everything and you come and ask what you did wrong.
Basically you did a reinstall when you should not have so I dont know what to tell you really. Did you delete the old database? If not then you should be able to edit your config and point to the right database and table prefix to get the data back although it is not going to do you no good if you deleted all your pictures. Your only course of action then is to do an install correctly to integrate with vb3 and move forward
Please let me know what you have deleted or not so we can respond further
