Time????

I've finished my upgrade and I'm now finishing up the little touches to make it perfect.

I'm getting a strange GLITCH....my TIME is showing up like this:

Wed, November, 11, 2006 5:01pm

And that's not the correct time! It should read:

Wed, November, 29, 2006 11:01pm

Any suggestions???
HELP!!!

You have an example nowhere in our program do we show the current time. We show time of the picture upload. You can post a url here and a regular test user login and I can upload a photo and see what I see

Chuck:

OK...go here:

http://www.pro4um.com/photopost/show...hp?photo=11428

Username: Test User
Password: 123

Notice the DATE that time image was posted....Nov. 11....but it was posted today.

Notice the POSTS under it....Nov. 11.....but again..those tests were posted today....Nov. 30.

The TIME is correct...the day of the week is correct....only the MONTH and DATE are not correct.

My server is located here: Trumbull, CT, USA
But I have the clock on my server set to CENTRAL TIME, USA...just checked it...it is correct.

My Global Options are set this way:

Date format
Keywords: dow, month, mm, dd, yyyy

SETTING: dow, month, mm, yyyy

GMT Offset
If you are running VB and want the server to display the time as an offset of GMT (for example, to the timezone where your server is located), enter t

SETTING: +6

LET ME KNOW what you want me to do.

You should not have to alter your server in any way this might be what is causing your issue possibly

Photopost grabs the time from the server and corrects if by your vb GMT offset and the user timezone correction.

Based on what your telling me your GMT offset is correct and I know the timezone is fine for the user you gave me I set it to eastern us where I am

Your server's time is being interpreted whacky

November 11th 2006 is not even a thursday so try removing your server time tweak and reset vb and photopost correctly and see what happens here

Chuck:

I called my host...and had them check my time....they said it was set correctly...

VB is grabbing the time perfectly....what else could it be???

No one has every posted anything like this. There are posts where people set GMT wrong and time is off by a few hours and they correct their GMT time and the issue is corrected

Your time though is completely wrong. In fact there is no such date as Thursday November 11,2006 so I am a bit stumped here as you state your GMT is 6

Make sure your GMT is 6 NOT +6 although that should not matter

WELL???? I fixed it...and here is what I did to fix it.

I removed all of the Dow, Month, dd, year codes and saved....

Refreshed the screen....nothing there but the time.

I then put it back....dow, month dd, year

And saved.

Refresh the screen...did a test...and it's working.....????

Thanks for at least checking things out...I really, really appreciate it.

Yours,

Kirk

You think maybe you had a typo in what you put there?

Chuck:

Absolutely not...THAT was the first think I thought of! I checked it and checked it......after you could not fix it...I decided to just get rid of it all together and not have it post....so....I deleted it.

Then I reasoned....well...the Day of the week was correct...and put it back....same with the month...and year.....

Then...just for giggles...I added the day back...and it worked!

OH WELL????? I'm glad you looked at it because had you not you would not have believed me....all is good.
