Linked thumbnail to the showphoto page/spider friendly set to no

When using the new feature:
Forum thumbnail link bb code on showphoto (shows a linked thumbnail to the showphoto page)

If:

Use Spider-friendly URLs?

is set to no:

We get:
Photo not found in the database!

How do we get this to work with Use Spider-friendly URLs? set to NO??
