| logging in problem
Hey everybody,
I am having the problem logging in to photopost. It's not letting me login to the admin cp at all. It loads in the vB template, and my username is at the top right, but in photopost it says "Register", when I click it, it tells me I'm already registered.
The cookies are set correctly (and license # entered), the paths are set correctly.
I have to go to the hospital right now so it will take me awhile to respond.
Thanks ahead for help |

Looks to me like your cookies and vb license number are not set correctly. You can reinstall and make sure to set the cookie prefix to bb and on config portion make sure the proper vb license number is entered.
Make sure vb cookie are set like this
cookie path /
cookie prefix bb
cookie domain .domain.com
Please post a site link when seeking assistance and if possible a regular test user login so we can see how your cookies are created

Hello,
URL to forum - http://www.zeldapower.com/forum
URL to gallery - http://www.zeldapower.com/forum/fanart
The gallery button in the template isn't set to the Photopost script just yet. I had some other gallery that didn't work out.
I set the settings you said and now it won't even show users logged in at the top right.
Here is a test user:
zeldapower.com/forum
user: pp_test
password: test123

You can email me a link and sign in to your database viewer or check yourself our settings table and see what is in settings 41 should be vb3 and make sure our cookie settings 171-173 match what I gave above. double check your license number of vb as well as you will never be recognized if your license number is incorrect

Step 3: MySQL error reported: [CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS pp_favorites (id int(12) NOT NULL auto_increment, userid int(8) NOT NULL default '0', photo int(11) NOT NULL default '0', PRIMARY KEY (id), KEY parent (photo), KEY userid (userid) TYPE=MyISAM]
Result: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 4
Database: ********
Step 3: MySQL error reported: [CREATE TABLE pp_search ( searchid INT( 12 ) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY , userid INT( 12 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', searchtype VARCHAR( 1 ) NULL , searchterms VARCHAR( 250 ) NULL , searchdate VARCHAR( 5 ) NULL , cats MEDIUMTEXT NULL , name VARCHAR( 64 ) NULL , preview SMALLINT( 1 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '1', idlist MEDIUMTEXT NULL , numresults INT( 5 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', ipaddress VARCHAR( 15 ) NULL , searchtime FLOAT( 3, 6 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0', date INT( 15 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0' )]
Result: For float(M,D), double(M,D) or decimal(M,D), M must be >= D (column 'searchtime').
Database: ******
| I tried to reinstall and then remembered if I got this error before, and I did... I dropped all the tables for PP.
It's still not working. I set those settings correctly through phpMyAdmin and still nothing.
License # is correct!

I'm thinking it's a problem to do with the cookie path... vB is /
PP is /
But PP is a subdirectory of vB vB : zeldapower.com/forum
PP: zeldapower.com/forum/fanart
Would that have anything to do with it?

Still having the problem..
Anybody ?
EDIT:
Just wanted to say I reinstalled the script in the main directory
PP: http://www.zeldapower.com/fanart vB: http://www.zeldapower.com/forum
cookie path /
cookie prefix bb
cookie domain .zeldapower.com
All three set in both are the same ( vB and PP)
Well... does anybody have anymore ideas on this? I eliminated my idea that it was in a subdirectory of the forum because no one confirmed it..

If your cookies are correct check the license number and ensure this is correct not your customer number
Make sure also setting 41 in the settings table of photopost says vb3

Chuck - I am assuring you that all of these settings are correct. Here are screen shots. I entered my license # and not my customer number!!!
Is there anything else?
The vB license # is entered - NOT customer # or customer password.
