My vb forum style has a sidebar that I would like to display in photopost as well

Hello,

I have a vB style that uses a side bar (www.breederretriever.com/forums/) and would like this side bar to appear the same way in the photopost section (www.breederretriever.com/photopost/).

Is there a setting I have to change to make this work?

Thanks,
Kris

I guess that would depend highly on whatever hacking or modification you did to your vbulletin

we just pull the header and navbar and footer so if your sidebar is incorporated there it should show in photopost

Hi... Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure I changed a setting when I originally installed photopost that disabled the sidebar because it was not displaying correctly under our old layout that was of fixed width... i can't seem to find that setting now though. do you know what it could have been that i changed?

thanks again.

Setting in Photopost?

We have our own sidebar and you can turn that on and off in sidebar options in admin

Yes, I realize photopost has its own sidebar but this is not what I'm trying to enable right now.

If you look at www.breederretriever.com/forums/ and then compare that to www.breederretriever/photopost/ you will see the problem.

We need to find a way to have those boxes on the left show up in photopost like they do in the forums, otherwise photopost is completely isolated from our entire site.

For some reason I feel like I read a post here when I first started with photopost that explained how to fix some issues with fixed-width designs that were having problems with squishing photopost... and I think I changed some setting to make the forum's (not photopost's) sidebar not show in photopost, but with our new layout we really need it there.

If there is no setting like this, could you please point me in the right direction for how to add our sidebar to photopost? Without it we can't use photopost.

Kris

Photopost is not going to pull that sidebar from vb

The only vb sidebar I know of that is pulled automatically from vb is when you use vbportal

Ok, thanks. If one has a familiarity with PHP is this a hack that you could see being implimented or is it not possible? If you think it could be done would you mind letting me know what files you would recommend as a starting point?

Thanks

Okay since this doesn't seem doable, is there a way to use a different theme/style for PhotoPost (as compared to the one I'm using in the forums) without changing the forum style?

Not with the way we pull the users stylesheet setting.

I believe vbadvanced has clear cut instructions on how to hack files other than vb to show their sidebar on the page. You might want to check on there site for that hack.
