Default Sort Order Not Working

I just upgraded from v5.21 to v5.5.

I have a Category that is setup with a Rating Type of Contest Mode.

When I configure the Default Sort Order to Most Popular, I expect the Category to sort based on highest number of votes. However, it appears to only be willing to sort based on Filename. I have other (non-contest) Categories with other Default Sort Orders that seem to work fine.

If I go to the Category and manually change the sort option, it works fine. But, the Default Sort Order doesn't appear to work. I also tried setting it to Latest, Title, and other Default Sort Orders, but it always reverts to Filename. It definitely worked fine in 5.21.

Make sure you have uploaded all the new templates and files

If I set a default sort it seems to work

Just downloaded 5.62 and I still have the same problem as descriped by this user above.

This is a problem in contest mode only, I think

PhotoPost Category Editor: Default sort order: Newest

When you click on the category, the images shows up with default sort order filename. Any suggestion how to fix this fast?

Contest Mode overrides the perpage is set to 10000 but the sort is set dependent on if voting is enabled disabled etc.

I think the problem might be related to the number of pictures showing on one page. When you chose contest as rating type, the script overrides the images per page, and shows all images and sorts default by filename.

When contest is closed, the sorting on number of votes works fine, but I would like to sort by posted date while the voting is open.

To sort by posted date is the only way to put the newest picture on the top, to be able to use slideshow to see all the images. If I use random, the slideshow only shows some of the images.

You can mod it anyway you want but yes it is set to a certain sort cause it is a contest and certain sorts make sense dependent on what the contest is active or not.
