| Import from vBgallery, missing thumbnails
i just switched my gallery from vbgallery to photopost. i imported my gallery just fine. most of the photos have working thumbnails but a good number don't. i tried rebuilding thumbnails and adding missing thumbnails but it just doesn't work out. i get things like:
Checking photo #3: rebuilding /hsphere/local/home/vrhee/photos.golfrewind.com/data/2/thumbs/newclubs_006.jpg from /hsphere/local/home/vrhee/photos.golfrewind.com/data/2/newclubs_006.jpg ... failed! done.
Checking photo #5: rebuilding /hsphere/local/home/vrhee/photos.golfrewind.com/data/2/thumbs/dscn0183.jpg from /hsphere/local/home/vrhee/photos.golfrewind.com/data/2/dscn0183.jpg ... failed! done.
Checking photo #7: rebuilding /hsphere/local/home/vrhee/photos.golfrewind.com/data/2/thumbs/dscn0187.jpg from /hsphere/local/home/vrhee/photos.golfrewind.com/data/2/dscn0187.jpg ... failed! done.

Permissions are fine. I checked the "files" directory and all of the folders in that directory and it's all 777.

Do recursive permission changes on both data directories and rerun the importer you should not have to run a scan database

I did it again and same result.
I was checking through the gallery and realized all of the photos with missing thumbnails come from the same category. Incidentally, that category was named "What's In The Bag" but during the import, it just went to the default "A Category."
Any help?

You have a link? The importer should clear the categories table all except the members gallery on import so a category should not be there

You should be able to rebuild thumbnails if the data directory is set to 777 at every level.
If you can not rebuild thumbnails then it is not set correctly
whats up with your style why is there no style?
why not use the vb3 integration?

Okay, i got it to work. Duh. I know it always has to do with permissions but I honestly checked the data directory and the directories inside that directory. When I dug further, two thumbnail directories were 757. I got it to work.
As for the style, I am redoing the whole site and the gallery style is slightly different from the forum style. It's still in progress.

make sure your using full urls to image paths in your vb style admin for that style . If your styles different over the gallery usually means images are not being found because of the relative paths. vbulletin is real big on using relative paths which in my opinion is simply a bug they will never fix.

Okay, this is unrelated to the original question but the reason why I didn't want to use the direct header/footer from vB is for one issue only.
I have tabs and for the forum, the "Forum" tab is in white with the "Photos" tab a different color because it's not selected. When someone is at photos.golfrewind.com, I would like the "Photos" tab to be white and the "Forum" tab a different color. Is there some type of conditional I can use? Say, if the person is at www.golfrewind.com, the forum tab is white but if they're at photos.golfrewind.com, the photos tab is white?
