Remove a category from Recent Photos view

I saw a few old threads on this issue that I think a lot of people want to be able to do, but nobody has described it well yet that I could find.

Question: How can one exclude an area from the Recent Photos view in Photopost. In other words, say I wanted to exclude the members gallery from the Recent Photos?

Is this now a feature? If not, will/can it be?

If not, has anyone figured it out. I saw reference to an exclude_cat function but that it didn't work with the latest version.

This would be an extremely useful feature that more than one has requested.
