editing .css

I have no idea if this is considered a mod, but all I want to know is: what should my permissions be set to when editing default.css? I got this error when I tried to change the color scheme: "... Unable to write changes, permissions on default.css are not set properly."

Thank you and I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum. Moderator: I tried to delete my post in the unsupported mod forum and I was unable to do so.

Your css files and tmpl files should be set to 666 under your stylesheets and templates directory
