Parsing links problem

Hi,

I just upgraded to 5.5 and I am now having a link parsing problem. The links all worked fine before the upgrade.

We have a created field to allow a link to products in our store and it is adding a amp; after the & sign. The url should only have the & sign.

How can I fix it so that the "amp;" is not added?

Thanks in advance,

Rick

Please provide an example link to what you mean so we can assist. Your description is too vague for us to assist you

Hi Chuck,

Sorry if I was not clear. Below is the link as it shows when parsed.
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Notice the two sections of the url:
product_info&manufacturers_id=111&products_id=3809

Should look like:
product_info&manufacturers_id=111&products_id=3809

Here is what the whole link should look like:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I hope that this is more clear and you can see my problem.

Thanks in advance.

Rick

Hi Chuck,

Here is a link:

http://digitalscrapbookpages.com/gal...00/ppuser/1186

Look at the field that says "Link to Product @ Digitals:"

Thanks

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the reply. That fixed the character issue but now the link is no longer clickable. You must copy and paste into the browser window.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for you patience and help. I must apologize as I was sloppy in applying one of your fixes and neglected to change the $extra variable to match. When I noticed that I went back and tried that fix again and it works now.

The correct fix for me was:

$extra1 = un_htmlspecialchars(convert_markups($extra1));
$extra2 = un_htmlspecialchars(convert_markups($extra2));

Sorry to have wasted your time beyond that. I do however appreciate the manner in which this forum has always provided great replies to me and the rest of the community.

Thanks again.
