How do i add a subcategory with a mysql command?

I need to create a script to move my existing content into photopost.
I have close to 3000 categories now.
If i know the parent id how can i create a mysql statement to add a subcategory?

You need alot more than a mysql statement your custom script would also need to create the numeric data directories. I suggest you look at our adm-cats.php script to see how we create a category.

You can discuss code modifications and such in THE MOD CORNER forums.
