Comments to show as "new posts"

Is there any way I can get comments to show in the "new posts" search? I am running vb 3.6.2 with PP pro.

that would require you to create some sort of vbulletin hack/plugin

Not that I am aware but I do not really discuss or keep tabs on hacks.
