Adding subcategories...

Hello all,

Is there a way to add subcategories to two categories simultaneously. For instance, if I had two categories, Ford Fans and Chevy Fans, and I wanted to add a subcategory for both categories for each state, do I have to do it manually a hundred times, or can I add "Alabama" to Ford and have it simultaneously add to Chevy as well?
