Text field with more than 255 characters
 

How would I create a field that allows more than 255 characters.. like the description field?

description is a text field in our database so please explain what you mean and where

We have a custom field called "Credits". We want to be able to enter in more than 255 characters into it, like you can the description field. Currently all custom fields are limited to 255 characters.

You would need to edit your extra1 extra 2 etc fields in your photos table of Photopost and change them from a varchar field to a text field.
