Merge user

I mergered 2 users in vB and one was removed. Now, in PP I still see the users photos. How do I fix this?

well is the user's username correct? It all depends on your answer.

If the merged user's username is correct you can use the resync comments and photo usernames in scan database to update the userid.

If the userid and username are incorrect and that user was the merged one and does not exist anymore you would have to do an sql query like so before running a resync

UPDATE pp_photos SET username='NEW USERNAME' WHERE username='OLD USERNAME'

The old username is correct. The merged username is correct. This is what I get when I search for the user (Smoothie) that was merged with the other:

Smoothie is the old, Admin is the new. I merged the 2 together. Smoothie is gone, Admin is not.

I don't think you get what I was saying. Smoothie does not exist hense You need to do the query like I noted then you can use the scan database which will update all photos with username Admin to userid 1 You have him right now as userid 0 cause you ran the scan database and he doesnt exist on the forum anymore.

Too bad you can't run queries right from the PP admin area.

My PP tables don't have the prefix pp_. do I just run it like this;
UPDATE photos SET username='NEW USERNAME' WHERE username='OLD USERNAME'

UPDATE photos SET user='Admin' WHERE user='Smoothie'

Since the merged user's username is correct, I didn't have to run the query, just had to resync comments and photo usernames in scan database to update the userid.
