Exif information not showing

Photopost Pro - 3.51
I have installed jhead in a folder and I have the full server path to it in the global options. I have uploaded many photographs to it and I never get exif data showing. All folders are chmodded to 755, as is the jhead executable. I get no error messages, just can't find any exif data.

Where should the exif data be showing and is there any step I could have missed to have it collected?

data folders are suppose to be 777 at every level there is no photopost 3.51 so what version do you have?

You place the full path to jhead in global options like so

/usr/bin/jhead

You in upload photo options elect to extract exif info

when you upload a photo the exif info will be extracted if there is some

Sorry, 5.31 is the version

Data folders are all at 777, only the usr and bin folders at 755. I have now made these folders 777 also as well as the jhead executable.

I will redo the path and try again.

Is the /usr/bin/jhead relative to photopost folder, or to folder that the photopost folder is in?

I have tried both /usr/bin/jhead and /home/mydomain/public_html/usr/bin/jhead

I still cannot get any exif data and no View exif data option occurs when the photo is viewed.

I have the same problem :(. The jhead program picks the exif data out (see image 1). Only PhotoPost 5.5 does not make this. The pictures, to be uploaded to have the exif data.

My PhotopPost Options see image 2.

Sorry for my bad english.

Full path to jhead abaum ;)

/htdocs/executable/jhead is not full server path ;)

abaum October 16th, 2006 09:11 AM

That is already clear me :). In the path is safety-relevant information. Therefore is only exemplary ;).

Chuck S October 16th, 2006 09:14 AM

You must set the true full paths your options clearly show it is relative not full

abaum October 16th, 2006 09:26 AM

That is clear me! /homepages/XX/XXXXXX/htdocs/executable/jhead is registered. This is the full path!

Chuck S October 16th, 2006 09:37 AM

Then is this in the path in global options of Photopost?

URL TO PHOTOPOST TO A PHOTO YOU HAVE UPLOADED THAT HAS EXIF INFO

abaum October 16th, 2006 10:41 AM

Yes, the jhead full path is registered under the global options.

The Jhaed directory /homepages/XX/XXXXXX/htdocs/executable/jhead
The PhotoPost data directory: /homepages/XX/XXXXXX/htdocs/user2/galerie/data
