Direction of filmstrip/next prev pics reversed

The direction of thumbs viewing in filmstrip / next /previous are reversed in 5.5.showphoto.

How to make it like it was in 5.3?

Yeah, technically they were reversed before - forward means newer, not older...

if you want the old order, you could always comment out line 476 in showphoto.php,

Using the default view, the latest thumb in showgallery is at the top left ... proceeding to the right, and using the horizontal filmstrip, the thumbs should flow in the same direction.

previous is older and next is newer and I show these are correct in our downloaded code

Do you mean commenting out the entire line ? or just part of it?

You can remove it or comment it out. Take not by doing that your going to have the photo order backwards though as pointed out

This is why want the viewing of next/previous link to follow in the same direction as the the sequence of thumbs shown in showgallery.

How to swap these links around?

BTW we've replaced the next/prev names to
<< Photos . Slidshow . Photos>>

Actually in a default install the order is this

Thats because in this version it is appearing as it should with older photos being previous and newer ones being next so there is nothing to fix

and Next images to go << this direction <<

This is because this is the sequence that our thumb uploads are showing at showgallery.

Could you provide the place/numbers we need to switch to swap these two links around?

I understand you have reasons for changing this, but my hard headed logic wants it to follow in the same direction as thumbs are displayed at showgallery.

... the next link does go to the pics in this >> direction, ie, the same direction that the thumbs are showing in the category.

This is how we want it.

Could it be that we might have something screwed up at our site, or is the latest version different to how it's working at the PhotoPost Gallery?

Thats not running 5.5 it still has the old backwards links

Note the >> after Next Image>> goes >>this>> way but the viewing sequence regarding thumbs goes <<this way<<

No my gallery next goes to a higher picture and prev goes to a older picture in both features

The Photopost gallery is 5.3 that I can see by looking in admin

Okay, let's look at your fish pics category

The yellow fish thumbnail at the top left is the latest pic.
The red fish to the right is the previous, and so forth.
As such, viewing of filmstrip thumbs and <<images . images>> should follow the same logical pattern as the thumbs are displayed in the category (showgallery):
Image to the left is latest : image to the right is older

Now, the filmstrip fix in post #2 synchronizes with the thumbnail sequence in showgallery.
What we still need to figure out is how to switch around the next/previous links and we'll be in syncopation heaven

So thus this is correct and older photos are previous and newer photos are next
