Allowable Image Types ********Maximizing

Hello Everyone,

I am currently running photopost, reviewpost and photopost classifieds with imagemagik and would like to know if the following formats are all allowable image file types?

bmp,jpe,jpg,jpeg,gif,png,psd,tga

If not, what are all the possible image file types that can be run on these 3 programs using imagemagik?

Are the file acceptable file types different for the 3 different programs?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nuguru :)

bmp,jpe,jpg,jpeg,gif,png,tiff

would be imagemagick but that means or requires you have png jpg and tiff libraries on your server.

Perfect, I changed it up as per your advice, but I still need to verify png, jpg and tiff libraries on my server. How do I do that?

Thanks,

Nuguru ;)

Try uploading an image of all those types if any fail the proper libraries are not installed

Hi there,

I have enabled .bmp in my file uploads settings but every time someone tries to upload one they get this message.
Sorry, this image type (6) is not supported yet.

I am assuming this may be a problem with my GD installation as I see others are able to use bitmaps. If I go to phpinfo I get the following.
Can anyone tell me what WBMP is?

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
How can I fix this? Alternatively, is it better to use ImageMagick? In which case, do I need to get my server host to install it as it is not currently installed.

If I do install ImageMagick, can I easily change over from GD to it. Does it impact the photos already uploaded?

Thanks heaps.
